Ambience is good home-style. Food is quite good. The portions are huge. And are served well. Unfortunately, the breaks between deliveries are very long, so that the first ones were almost finished. The service is friendly and attentive.
The food tastes wonderful. Frank is a gifted cook and with Moni you make a great team.
Visit as part of the gourmet weeks, we ate lamb, duck and ravioli, 2x nougat parfait dessert, 2x parsley root soup starter. We were 8 people and had reserved a table from 12 noon. The arrival was okay, the table was free, even with a tablecloth which was unfortunately not 100% clean. The drinks were a long time coming and the food even longer. We started with two soups, these were brought out relatively quickly and tasted very good. The missing salads, which belonged to certain main courses, were simply left with three guests, you didn't ask in advance who had what food and just put them down. A maximum of two main courses were always brought, these with a very long time lag, so that the first guest was already finished with the meal when two other guests still had no food. This was very unpleasant and uncomfortable for the diner who was then observed by the hungry other guests at the table. The meat dishes were all okay in terms of preparation. The only thing that caught my eye was the vegetable sauce which could be seen brightly under the duck and also didn't taste good, so not a good substitute. The ravioli were really bad, sticky inside, and outside the dough edges were dry and like hard rubber, with vegetables that were tasty and fresh. You can't and shouldn't eat the tomato sauce with it. This is simply flat in taste, tasting like the finished product. In the end we had an invoice amount of around 170 euros. At the same time, many other things were noticed which are simply inappropriate and spoil the appetite: Glasses are served and the edge of the glass is touched, empty glasses are reached to clear them away. Seems to be basically unhygienic, negligent in Corona times. It was a celebration in a back room, the plates with the leftovers were on a cart and various buckets. The plates were then cleaned on the wagon in the guest room, which we could look into. The plates were removed from the leftover food with the hands and placed in the buckets. That looked pretty unsavory. You order a cappuccino and espresso and you get the cappuccino delivered, the espresso in the other hand is brought to another table. Printouts stick to the dumplings of the dishes, I think this is how the dishes are apparently marked and then assigned to the tables, which also looks unhygienic if the soaked print sticks to the dumpling. The dessert was okay, too little nougat too much red wine killed the plums and crushed the orange. You wait forever for the bill.

After information over the phone due to stomach and digestive problems after the visit, I received information about the use of fixed products in the cream sauce. Too bad - was a nice day, but not a pleasant evening for me! Shouldn't happen in such an inn!

We don't go out to dinner very often, but when we do, we go to the planner, as they say here. Roast venison is then mandatory. Really excellent cuisine at absolutely fair prices. No expensive bells and whistles, there is really something on the plates that will keep you full.
